Hi everyone! This is kind of a strange post to make, but I am looking for advice. I currently live in Lexington and I have been applying for the FRYSC jobs within Fayette county for the past 3 years and have never even been given a chance to interview. I have a lot of experience with low income students and a great list of references. Just recently one of the positions was filled by someone who had just graduated college. I guess I’m wondering what I can do to become a better candidate? I thought there was no better place to ask than to ask here! This is seriously like my dream job and I want it so bad. Unfortunately moving is not an option right now so I’m just stuck applying for surrounding counties and Fayette. Just looking for suggestions on ways and areas to improve before a new job is posted.
Degree ?
You would be an amazing coordinator!
The easiest way is to become an assistant first. But that’s not always easy as it commonly won’t pay the bills for any amount of time and there’s no guarantee someone will retire in due time once you do get your foot in the door
We have a position open in Pulaski County. Shopville Elementary.
3 of us are also retiring at the end of this year!!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Haley, are you
Referring to the GSE FRC position in Fayette? If so, inbox me.
Would it help to have me and Laura on your resume as references? I would be happy to write you a letter of recommendation or be listed as a reference. Possibly that might catch an interviewer’s attention.
Check to see if there are any FRYSC AmeriCorps positions available. Several past AmeriCorps Members are now coordinators.
Jessamine county has an opening 🙂
Check out a sites grant. That may help. Good luck.
